Retargeting (sometimes also
referred to as "retargeting" or
"behavioral search retargeting")
technology available through Blue House
Media allows you to retarget your
visitors after they leave your website.
Once a visitor visits a website we can
pass a pixel or “cookie” to the
visitor’s browser and at a specified
time, send the visitor an advertisement
thanking them for visiting the site and
encouraging them to return.
The page that can be
displayed can either be the main landing
page or a new creative enticing the user
to come back and purchase (“Receive 10
percent off if you book today” or
similar).
The key component to
keep in mind is that ANY user who shows
a natural interest in the site can be
targeted.
Here is a good example:
A consumer goes to an online shoe
retailer, only to leave the site without
making a purchase. Then by utilizing our
retargeting technology, the shoe
retailer can catch the consumer (when
he's visiting a news site, perhaps)
before he makes a purchase at another
online retailer. By visiting a site, a
consumer has let that site know they
have a need. Retargeting helps an
advertiser convince the consumer that
their product or service fulfills that
need.
